The Chesapeake Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates has been awarded the Outstanding regional of National SGNA in 1992, 1997 and 2003.  CSGNA is an active regional chapter of SGNA offering two major educational conferences in the Spring and Fall.  The Spring 1999 conference was the first Multi-Regional conference with Delaware and Old Dominion.    Click here for membership information.

CSGNA Members:

• Members live and work in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.
• Attend National Annual Conferences
• Participate in the House of Delegates
• Present Posters at National Annual Conferences
• Serve as Facility At National Annual Conferences
• Maintain active membership in Liaison of Maryland Nursing Organizations
• Participated in Nurses' Night in Annapolis
• Offer Educational Scholarship for regional conferences, multi-regional conferences, national conferences, and for poster presentation.
• The Board sponsors a networking Luncheon for members who attend the National Annual Conferences
• Members have received National Awards : Outstanding G.I. Nurse of the Year and the Gabriele Schindler Award.
• CSGNA members have held National Offices: National President, Secretary, Treasurer,  and Board Members.
